Portal is the starting site which connects you and your community. It is the place where you can create forums to post topics and engage users to participate in discussions. Zoho Discussions provides a user friendly interface with which you can create your portal in just a few clicks.
Listed below are the steps invloved in creating your portal:
Update Portal Information
- Go to http://discussions.zoho.com/home
- Click on the Sign Up button and choose a plan to Try that suit your needs

If you are new to Zoho, you will be redirected to the Sign Up page, where you need to enter your login details
- If you are an existing Zoho user, you will direclty be redirected to the Create Portal page

On the Create Portal page, enter the following details:

Portal Name: Enter a name for your portal in the text box. This portal name will be displayed in the header section
- Portal URL: Specify the required URL name for your portal in the text box. Please note that this portal URL cannot be change once created.
- Click on Create New Portal button
Your discussions portal is thus created.
